A New Year..Hopefully Better Than the Last Few!

A new year, a fresh start. I have no idea how long it will last, before all the crap starts flying around again, but so far, so good.

I’ve been enjoying my holidays away from my practicum at the hospital. The 12 hr shifts are brutal and there’s so much to learn, I got pretty overwhelmed at first. I waited all year to have my very first, and only, holiday from school. 18 days off in a row..what a relief.

I had a great, big family christmas, probably one of the very best I’ve ever had. We had 11 of us around my grandparents table for xmas dinner. Everyone pigged out on turkey, except for me. I had my usual hotdogs It’s been many years since we had the whole family together, and it was really awesome.

I’ve been relaxing at home since then, and I’ve barely left the house. Been a bit of a hermit again, I must admit. But it’s not in a bad way. I’ve just been doing a big clean up, going through tons of my old things I’ve been storing away in my drawers for years, and throwing away tons of stuff I don’t need anymore. I guess it’s a good way to start the year; getting rid of some of the clutter from my life.

I’ve stopped looking for a guy, and I mean really stopped. I need to be happy with me and my life before I need a man messing it up for me.  I’ve just been enjoying my time alone, making videos, playing video games, reading books and just relaxing at home.

I’m reading this really cool book called "She’s Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. I highly recommend it to anyone, it’s a really interesting and tragic story about this girl who has a really rough life and overeats.

Anyways, I figured it’s been awhile so I should update. Hope you’re all having a good new year, and hopefully this year will bring happier times for all of us.
