Today I became empty

My heart turned cold again

I could never expect your words

Could ever cause such pain

I didn’t believe in you or me

Didn’t think we’d ever make it

I guess it was all just a lie

We stayed together, but we faked it

I kept you out for so long

But you held my heart in your hands

I tried to push you out to save myself

But you could never understand

And when I let you in at last

I saw everything had been just a lie

So I’ll walk away and won’t look back

You will never get to see me cry

Love has turned black and grey

It’s crumbled into dust

I’ll pretend it doesn’t hurt so bad

But only because I must

Now there are no words left to say

Nothing left to hope for

We are lost, we are dead

And there is nothing more
