i remember seeing you cry

i remember seeing you cry

sitting there beside me hands over your face

body quaking like a leaf

i remember when I’d make it feel good that way… but this day, I remembered seeing you cry.

i remember seeing you cry

hunched over in the seat beside me

the birds calling and flying over our heads

the sun bright and blinding through the window seal

cheeks flushed and so bright red compared to the sun

i remember when I’d make those same cheeks blush with color all astray….. but today, I remembered seeing you cry .

i remember the tears

flowing crystal clear

down your pristine cheek….

i remember seeing you cry.

i remember the tears

making small rivers against your collar bone,

making small ponds amidst your lap.

wet lines leading to sorrow….

the saddest of maps…

….. i remember seeing you die for me. i remember seeing you cry.
