The Mother in Me…
I so feel it in me, and everyone says it…
but it hasn’t happened. At least not yet.
This year I went to see a gynae who specializes in fertility treatment etc… I had the
…
Sonohysterogram uses a saline solution to fill the uterine cavity and a transvaginal ultrasound to create a clear image of the uterus. The procedure helps diagnose uterine lesions and irregular growths including fibroids or polyps.
…and damn was that sore. Gynae sent me to go for a blood tests, but I held off on that, as I just procrastinated and had times when I wasn’t sure I wanted to have a baby with my husband.
But since I have been having carpal tunnel syndrome in my fingers lately and the last few days it has gotten worse, I decided I figured it was best to see an Ortho as supposed to just relying on my GP, like I did in Feb. Made the booking to see the Ortho next week…and since the Ortho is in the same building as the Pathology Lab, I took off some extra time from work and plan to go in for my bloods, for the gynae.
But gonna have to fast before the bloods, thankfully going early in the morning…
Blood tests are done at different times during a woman’s menstrual cycle to measure hormone levels in the blood. For an egg to reach maturation and the ovaries to release an egg, a woman must have balanced hormone levels. The doctor performing the blood hormone test will determine if the woman is producing high quality eggs and if the brain is properly sending hormonal signals to the ovaries. An evaluation for follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels drawn on cycle day three (three days after a woman’s period starts) is a common test for women. Other possible blood tests for hormones include anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and estradiol.
Anyway…back to me having The Mommy Instinct. My husband sent me a video of a father (I think) cutting up meat for twin girls, and how they love it…but the end of the video really got to me…
