I hate mosquitos!
I have about a million mosquito bites and they are SO itchy!!! This house has a creek in the backyard (which I used to think was cool) and the mosquitos are just eating me alive when I’m outside!!! The bug spray stuff I had on didn’t even work either. I have some bullfrog stuff we bought so I’ll try that instead next time I’m out.
Lately things around here have been going pretty well. Dave’s mom can be a bit bossy (although she considers it "giving advice) but that’s just her. She’s actually pretty easy to live with (surprisingly) and I enjoy her company when she’s not working. I think we’re getting along well and I think (hope) she enjoys my company too.
Dave’s dad’s car is giving him trouble so he asked if he could take back the truck for a few days until it’s fixed. I’m a bit bummed, but I know we’ll get it back soon (hopefully). My mil has Thursdays and Fridays off, so I’ll be able to go and do something those days if I want. She said maybe Thursday we can take Keira to the local pool around here so she can swim around. This year Keira is way more into being in the water then last year, so we have a lot of fun splashing around.
This will be the third night in a row that Keira has been sleeping in her own bed. I do miss her cuddled up to me, but I don’t miss getting kicked in the face and having her talking (and screaming) in her sleep. I’m glad she’s getting used to sleeping in her bed, I really think she’s sleeping better by herself than with Dave and I because I haven’t heard her once get up in the middle of the night. She wakes up around 6 or 7 and wants some milk, but then after she drinks that, she goes back to sleep for another hour or so. So far so good.
Tomorrow our the cable company is coming and setting up our new service. I’ll have unlimited long distance anywhere in Canada and the U.S. so I’ll be able to call home and not worry about a whopping bill later. My mom is getting her computer upgraded to so she can have a webcam to see us. That’ll be nice to see and talk to them. I want Keira to be able to see her other grandparents and not forget about them. She does still consider Pennsylvania home because before our furniture got here I told her that her Dora bed was going to be here soon and she said, " My Dora bed is at home." She still call this house "Grandma’s house", so I don’t think she quite gets that this is permanent. Ah well, she’s young and I’m glad the transition hasn’t been hard on her. It really hasn’t been that hard on me either, but it’s only been a month, so we’ll have to see. I miss my family and friends, but I wouldn’t say I’m "homesick". I’m sure one of these days I’ll be down in the dumps because I’m not closer to them, but for now I’m handling everything ok.
I got my license changed over last week, so I should be getting it in the mail soon. I still have to work on my residency papers, but I have plenty of time for that. I really want to get that over with too though, so I can just go on with my life and not worry about all this crap. It’s always something.
glad all is going so well. i wish it was as easy for us to move to canada – the wait at the moment is about 4 years!! any photos of abbotsford to come?! xx

Oh it realls sounds as if things are going well! I hope he gets his car back so you can have yours back though lol. One car is not so much fun. That’s awesome she’s in her own bed too. I couldn’t imagine night after night with Spencer in ours. O.o
