Happy 4th Of July

It’s so weird not spending 4th of July with my family, and it’s even weirder that Dave had to go to work today. Ah well, just something else to get used to here.   I didn’t even get to enjoy Canada Day because most of the afternoon was getting Sadie settled with her temporary home. We found a really nice guy who’s only about 10 minutes away to watch her. So far she’s being good and getting along with his llaso apso. His dog is old and blind, and being he’s so little I don’t think Sadie feels threatened by him which is good. He said we can come and see her whenever we want, so maybe sometime next week we’ll stop by. I want to give her some time to get used to her new surroudings before I go and visit.

So other than that, everything else is going ok. I’m feeling a bit lonely when everyone is at work, but I’m hoping to meet local people to hang out with. I’m sure once I sign Keira up for a summer activity, I can meet other moms that way.  Well, Dave should be getting home soon. We’re going to have a cook-out since it’s so nice outside. Everyone have a Happy 4th of July!
