HEYA PEEPS!!!!
What an amazing trip away J I just got back from the best week in paradise I have seen for a VERY long time! I guess the initial idea of heading off to a holiday home with five other families of mates was a bit off putting. I mean we are talking about 18 people living in one house for a week ya know, and 9 0f those people were kids! Ranging from two to thirteen, and all with their own unique way of .. Um lets just say behaving. I am VERY happy to say that it was actually a breeze to get through J
In all, the list went like this:
Josh and Lena,
Their kids Noah and Zac.
Manners and Glenn,
Their kids Tarcia, Brendan and Jarred.
Emma (aka Aunty)
Her daughter Lillie.
Matt and Jaz.
And
Ani and Myself
Our kids Krystelle, Morgan and Jack.
It was a hell of a mix but fortunately all the kids and adult alike are best mates. So last Monday morning at 6.30am, all cars met at our house to head in convoy to Malua Bay, a two and a half hour drive from Canberra. Now the house we rented was going to leave us all in awe. It cost us 2 grand to rent for a week and none of us had seen any photos of it. We spent over a grand in food for the time, and had high expectations of the seven days in paradise we were promised. Well, the moment we drove up to this place we were jaw dropped. It was a brand new five bedroom mansion that slept 21 adults comfortably. It was split leveled over five terraces and had huge bifold doors that opened the front of the house to the back. The only downside lol, fukin stairs! Eight different sets of stairs moving off into different areas or (wings) of the place!
Polished floorboards, a MASSIVE galley styled kitchen in the center, TV room down stairs for the kids, hi fi units up and down, three bathrooms and toilets, stainless seven burner bbq, TVs in every bedroom, ahhhhhhhhhhh .. and a view to die for! The ocean pounded twenty four seven and the cool sea breeze wafted up and over, through and around, every minute of the day and night. You guys know me, I LOVEEEEEEE the ocean! It felt so good to be by the waves again, however my glee turned to a sulk once I realized that my back pain killed all but most of my chance to ride. I tried several times to get out there, but settled in the end for just body surfing and lying like a floating piece of driftwood lol! Im not disappointed; I really did have a fantastic time. The water temp was perfect too, and even though it was overcast for three days the water was beautiful and totally invigorating.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN:0cm 0cm 0pt”>For all my surfing mates, Mackenzies Beach, twenty minutes out of Batemans Bay is the best surfing nook I have seen for years! Perfect right handers and for the whole time we were there, nothing under six foot barrels about fifty feet out, and they all rolled! I took the mini Malibu out, nosed it three times before I gave up in disgust with myself. They say surfing is like riding a bike, you never forget, but shit I had a shocker! Its been a year and a half at least since Ive barreled, and I just couldnt believe how unco I was. Sure the back was caning like a bitch, but I would gladly have cried later and smiled for the moment given the chance L Josh opted for the spongy (boogie board) and fins and absolutely blitzed it! He was all over it and lovin it and I hate him now lol!
The boys did a lot of fishing on the trip, I opted to stay home with Ani, taking time to see the sights and do the family thing. Im really glad I did because she said at the end that she loved me for thinking about her and not myself like the other guys. As far as the babys logg goes, she is having her ups and downs and mostly is unwell. She worries about her gaining weight issue, but I assure her that I love her and she would look good wearing nothing more that a tea towel 😛 Somehow though, it doesnt matter what you say to a pregnant partner in life, they have their own thoughts. As it turns out though, it was a good thing I didnt go because all they caught was a bad case of the shits for losing all their rigs lmao!!!!!!!!
I got to tell you all, the days were long and the nights were filled with singing by the guitar and drinking to the max! We ate like kings and queens and we all got along with NO problems. You would think that a house full of screaming kids would be stressful, it wasnt, infact they were all well behaved. I went down with a mop on my head and came back with a try hard Kelly Slater crop cut 😛 I feel like I have lost two kilos of my head (and a LOT of grey lol) Oh, and most of the pics we took were duds L I had the setting all fuked up and they blurred. However there is a lot that did work out so they are in the slide below. I can hear my lil woman calling me so Im off to give here a kiss and kick my teenage daughter off the net lol. She had acrylic nails put on yesterday so she thinks shes some sort of a screen goddess now lol! Yup there ya go, I just got the what everrrr dad line 😛 Ahhhhhhhhhh, the joys of fatherhood J
I Love You Guys!
SOOOOOOOOOO DRUNK!

My God, look at your hairs! They’re gone! Ani chopped them off? *falls over laughing* What a rockstar! I think you look younger, actually. I like it! The holiday sounds fun. It’s a really brave thing to do when you go away with such a huge group, especially with heaps of kids! But it sounds like it was a great success, so woot! *hugs*

first off I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! It looks great! REALLY! Glad you guys had fun, it sure looked like it. I know that Jack and I would have loved that trip..we love kids too!!! Sorry surfing was hard…is there anything you can do to surgically fix your back? Poor thing, I am hugging you right now!!! Take care!! XXX Most of the moms here in california, onlygain 20 pounds, if Ani can do that, it will be so easy to get rid of it once the baby is born…just a tip.
