Constatly Thirsty!

I know it’s a strange question, but, ladies,  do you find that as you get older you drink a lot more than you used too? I can’t stop drinking and am permanently REALLY thirsty, like I’ve not drank anything at all for several days! It’s been going on for several weeks! A few mornings ago I had a mug of Simplee Aloe Vera With Bits with my brekkie and a yogurt and fruit as always, late night/early hours I had unsweetened soya milk and cold water and strawberry milk and a can of Liquid Death – which sounds like a really strong beer for hard-core heavy metalists but is actually just sparkling water! – Then during the day here at work I had one bottle of water after another with cans of Monster Ultra/Zero Sugar and Pepsi Max Zero Sugar Cherry, then at home that night was a mug of PG Tips then back to various cold drinks! Apparently our bodies are 55 – 60% water but I think I’m more like 160%! The third drawer down in my work’s desk is full of cans of Monster and Coke/Pepsi! I’ve got a ”sipper” water bottle on my bedside cabinet that I’m always drinking from, two on my work’s desk and a normal bottle of Co-Op water there too which I keep filled to the top! Even now while doing this I’m guzzling a bottle of Moo Milk! Hubby was joking that when I snuff it, I won’t be buried or cremated, I’ll just be recycled at a Hydro Power Station! I fully agree with him!

Carbonated drinks (especially those with caffeine) can dehydrate you. You have a huge intake of those in a day. I’d also want my doctor to check me for diabetes as unquenchable thirst is one of the symptoms.

Thank you, Snarkle. My doctor has given me a diabetes check, I’m not diabetic, thankfully! She said it’s menopause doing it….I got her laughing when I called it pesterpause! I’m 58 and it hit me at 42. She offered to put me on some sort of meno treatment but I declined as I’m on a trillion tablets/pills 7 days a week for other stuff, I don’t want any more!
