Article on sexual dominance

I just read an article on the abhorrent subject of rape. It is found here:
http://www.commondreams.org/views02/0903-05.htm

Now I don’t necessarily disagree with what they are saying. However, it is interesting that the paper seemed to state that the "cultural norm" is the "dominant male" and "subordinate female" when it comes to sexual relations in our culture.
Clearly, the paper is arguing that the pornographic industry, portrays men’s pleasure at the expense of the woman’s subordination.
Isn’t that a rather biased slant on the term "cultural norm?" Are there not more inflences than the porn industry which shape our culture? I see the porn industry as a gross perversion and distortion of the biblical concept of headship and submission. It seems to me that it is a result of our natural desire to sin and turn away from God (who is Love).

Paul teaches that men are to love their wife as Christ loves the Church. Last time I checked the New Testament, there was no mention of Christ ever taking advantage of women.  Jesus never "dominated" over people (although he is Ruler over all). Paul teaches that women are to love their husbands as they love Jesus!
Aren’t these the principles that influence our cultural norm? These are cultural ideals in my opinion.
The results of our cultural embracement of the philosophy brought forth by Friedrich Nietzsche can be seen in the strife and suffering that we see today (I can smell a flaming coming on).

Anyway, I’m rambing now

i missed you. I have only updated for the first time in several years too though. Nietzsche wrote Thus spoke Zarathustra while working his way through heartbreak. It wasn’t meant to spread love.

Rape is not normal. I know a lot of guys who like the girl to be the dominant one. Me, I like being dominated, because it’s less work. 😛 Joooking!
