2:15p.m. I’ve been having another good day I’ve been in my wheelchair since 5,a.m. I wasn’t too tired this morning so I didn’t sleep in my wheelchair. I had a good breakfast of bacon and scrambled eggs. Insead of going to sleep I read my book The Wastelands by Stephen King. I read until it was time for the coffee social.

I stayed in the Fiesta Room for an hour. I read some more and drank two cups of coffee. They must of put some happy pills on my coffee. I had such a good time reading. In felt very at at ease around people. I didn’t hear anyone talking or laughing at me. But still, I was glad to get back to my room.

I was really enjoying my book this morning. I continued reading once I got back. I read for another hour then fell asleep in my chair. I slept until lunch. I ate a chili dog and a piece of apple pie. I was afraid of eating anything more for fear of getting sick.

After lunch I had a video conference with my psychiatrist. I thought it went well. Things have been going fairly well the last few days I also said I don’t remember having any nightmares ,She masked if I’m still going to the coffee social. I said yes, I love coffee. Then she asked what I was reading. I said I was reading Stephen King. I love him I said. He is as crazy as I am.

Our session ended after that Then the Hoyer pad started to hurt. I also  had an incontinence episode. Surprisingly I didn’t have long to wait for an aide. They were pretty good this time. They got me in bed, changed, undressed me cleaned me up and changed my briefs. I can’t complain about the care today.

In fact, htthings have been going great in the nursing home these last few days . I haven’t had much arthritis pain.. The aides have been fairly decent and coming in a timely manner for the most part. I was talking to Chococolatechip yesterday about this development. I was saying how lucky I have been.  I don’t have to worry about anything and all I have to do is sit on my lazy butt and read books.
