Scary But Fascinating Experience!

Considering we’ve only been living and working from this building for about a month, we still have some of the 13th C. foundations here and the property was re-built in 1677 so we totally understand there’s quite a strong spiritual atmosphere, our spirit friends have welcomed us right from the first day we came to look around.

Yesterday I’d closed the shop at 4 and went around to the local Spar which is a 2 minute walk away. Came back with my arms full of shopping, no bag, and opened the door. The door is directly next to my shop area, facing the shop. I left the door open to drop everything on my works desk with the intention of then closing the door and just as I dropped my keys on the desk, for a few seconds I got the horrible idea someone had rushed up and was stood behind me.

I thought it was nosey Patty, in her 80s, who has a reputation for creeping up behind me and grabbing me, I absolutely HATE it when she does that, I spun around fast and was about to give her a mouthful….but there was nobody there! Nobody had gone up the stairs, into the ground floor room next door or back out of the door in just those few seconds!

It was a horrible feeling and I actually stood at my desk, completely still, I’d gone ice cold and began to physically shake. The entire thing only lasted seconds. I really do believe a spirit had actually walked through me.

I went upstairs to my hubby who was in his Office-Studio and told him. Because we’re renovating the entire place, all 4 floors, from ground to attic flat, he said when he’s been here alone late night or early hours, scrubbing and taking care of the stairs handrails, he’s felt someone physically brush past him up or down the stairs! He’s seen spirits and heard them.

We absolutely love this entire building and we love our ghostly friends!
