Tuesday 8/29/23

7:46a.m.i just had blueberry pancakes and two sausage paddles for breakfast. It was delicious. Then I had !y all important coffee and juice. So I’m wide awake and above the dirt.  Today is going to be a great day! 

I had a pretty good night as well. The care was excellent. Aides came in two or three times to change my briefs. Both aides were very nice. Then they got me up around 4:30am. The aides cleaned !e up, changed  my briefs and got me in my wheelchair. I couldn’t of asked for better treatment

But I never did read Chapter 8 in my book America’s Unwritten Constitution The Precedents and Principles We Live By by Akhil Reed Amar. I got too sleepy around eight. I slept soundly except I had a dream about joining the Army in WWIi. They was going to give me a desk job but I opted for the infantry. I wanted to see combat.  That was how my night went.

I talked with Chococolatechip after they got me out of bed. She was talking about the thing with FP.  Everything is good after all she said.  So the application process is waiting for the letter from SS verifying her income. Also she said they make you a priority if you’re 62 or older. She feels a lot more confident that they will accept her application.

She talked a lot about moving. She is thinking of selling her fire  place to one of the maintenance  crew She might need the money for moving. Chococolatechip said all the help her family promised might not happen. As Chococolatechip says she the only one she can depend on is herself I said I would hate to see you get rid of the fireplace. She will see what happens.

We talked about other stuff until seven. They served drinks and breakfast by then. I’m all set now and good to go 

11:38a.m. I made it to the Coffee Social. Just finished a ?ong chat on messenger. We mainly talked about all the appointments she has for  September. Then we talked about her moving to FP. Chococolatechip said she will be glad to get out of OT. She said she will not look back. She is sick and tired of the moochers, bitches, sickos and bed bugs that live there. She will not look back. I said you will like FP a lot better.

She said she ran into George. He asked if there had been other incidents. Chococolatechip said no. George told her that other tenants on fourth floor had their doors hit.  She didn’t say anything but incidents like these are another reason she wants to move. Chococolatechip just doesn’t feel safe in OT anymore. I can’t say as I blame her.

I feel pretty good right now. I’m on my second round of coffee  They are about to serve  Chatting with my girlfriend and drinking coffee are the two best things in my life other than reading books.  It just doesn’t get any better. 

2:13p.m. I had a pretty good lunch except for the sauerkraut. I like sauerkraut but it doesn’t like me. I made my way back to my room. I called Chocolatschip and we talked for a long time. Then I needed my briefs changed. I had to wait a couple hours for an aide to help me. I’m dry now and in bed. I plan on staying in bed the rest of nthe day.

6:36p.m  I talked with Chococolatechip a lot this afternoon. We had a good time on the phone just talking.. They served two sloppy joes for supper. I had a big lunch and wasn’t very hungry. I ate one sandwich. It was ok

My Facecrap account was  hacked again. Then I got a strange message from a person supposedly on my friend’s list. She claimed to have gotten $100k from Publishers Clearing House. I knew this was some kind of scam but it kind of bothered me. I thought they were trying to send me a virus or on a phishing expedition. But my tablet is working ok.

Also. I don’t know what has been going on with the nursing home. They have been treating me good the past couple of days. I did call the ombudsman Monday And left a message. So far she didn’t get back to me. It seems strange I’m getting good care after mentioning her on this diary site. I just hope it continues

I haven’t been reading so far today. I’ve been talking with Chococolatechip a lot That’s ok. I’d rather be talking to my girlfriend than spend time reading about the Constitution. I still have time to finish that book. Stephen King’s Holly is coming out in seven days. I have six more chapters to go. I can still make it.

Well, I’m going to start on Chapter 8. It’s a short chapter only 26 pages. I should be able to get through this sucker tonight and maybe read some of chapter 9. Nine is a long one over 50 pages It looks like I’m all booked up the rest of the evening. 

9:07p.m. I finished reading Chapter 8 in my book. I’m going to try and start on the next chapter. This is normally my bedtime but I’m too hyped up to stop. Besides Des I’m enjoying the material and actually learning something.  Also, this was such a good day I hate to see it emd. Life is great!
