Tuesday 8/22/23

10:$8s.m. Yesterday was very eventful. Chococolatechip came for a visit. We had a great time together She brought a box of my favorite snacks plus a $25 Amazon gift card. We both had lunch together in the Fiesta Room. They served a big plate of lasagna that we both loved. After lunch we played a couple games of 500 Rum Then she pushed me back to my room.

First thing I did was open my gift card. I had a he k of a time redeeming the card. I entered the wrong code. Then they wanted me to type in those letters to show them I wasn’t a bot. I had to do that three or four times. But I eventually did it. I immediately bought those two books I’ve been wanting, Holly by Stephen King and Decision in Philadelphia by Christopher Collins and James Lincoln Collins. .

Then we talked for a couple hours. There are more people from Overbrook Towers here in the nursing home. Chococolatechip talked to them for awhile when pushing me down the hall. Thetesa Black was one.She was visiting her mother. Also, the infamous Alice Price was another. I never did think much of that crew but that’s another story.

We talked until I got put in bed and changed. Then Chococolatechip ‘s ride was coming. She left around 2:30 and waited outside for her ride. Again I can’t thank her enough for the visit and the gift card . Monday was a very special day!

I tried to read after Chococolatechip left. I kept thinking about her. Also, I’m afraid I chowed down on those Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Bars. I just can’t help myself and they are so good. I made myself very bloated. After the big lunch and then snacks I couldn’t eat supper

I was tired from all the excitement. I went to sleep very early last night. I slept good and they got me up around 4:30 this morning. Slept in my wheelchair until they served drinks and breakfast. I had biscuits and gravy. It was pretty good.
