Friday 8/11/23

10:30a.m. I had another shitty night. I laid in urine from supper to 5am. I called the nurse’s station. She said they would send somebody down . But nobody came until it was time to get out of bed. Needless to say I was a tad pissed. 

I am not having a very good morning. I was very tired and have been sleeping in my wheelchair.Not even coffee and a breakfast of French toast got me going. I believe I am depressed, very depressed. Laying in piss all night is enough to make anyone depressed. Also, I was laying in piss for five hours to this morning.

I had to call the front desk to complain again. They sent someone down to change my briefs and clean me up. Then they took me to the Fiesta room for the coffee ocial. I’m hoping the coffee and donuts will make things better.

11:32am. Chococolatechip just made my day! She bought me an Amazon Gift card for $25. This means I can buy that Stephen King book , Holly plus a history book called Decision in Philadelphia.I think that is so thoughtful and wonderful.!  I will never forget her kindness and love.

The coffee and chocolate milk also cheered me up. I feel much,much better. I’m waiting for lunch to be served. A good meal will also do the trick. Life is good! 

12:53p.m. I had BBQ chicken, creamed potatoes and Angel food cake for lunch. They also served spinach but I cannot stomach spinach. Other than the spinach lunch was good. I made my own way back to my room.

I feel pretty good now except the damned Hoyer pad is hurting my butt. An aide just came in and said he will put me to bed soon. I hope I don’t have to wait too long.
