Disclaimer: Star trek is not mine and neither are the characters. This is a story that coincides with Voyager. Yeah, just thought I’d throw that out there.
In this chapter, it will be all about Chelsea’s point of view.
Chapter 5

*****************
Chelsea’s P.O.V.
***
I know that everyone will be here shortly, I just wish they would come tomorrow. This ship is pretty amazing though.
whoosh
I spun around, some of my curls blocking the view of the door. When the curls were in correct order, I saw that John was standing, wide-eyed, as he gleamed at me.
"Chelsea this ship is marvelous! This is what you were doing?"
When he said the question, I could feel a bit of heat rising in my cheeks. Blake and I knew that it wasn’t the only thing I had done.
"Sure. Hey John, when is everyone else arriving?"
He put his hand to his cheek as he thought.
"Um. I think they are scheduled to arrive in about twenty minuets or so."
John put a smile on his face and walked up to me, till he was only inches away. I could smell his cologne, and it made me feel almost trapped.
"I missed you this entire time, I’m so glad that you’re back."
I saw that he was moving in for affection, and I was still pretty overwhelmed from the incident with Blake earlier. I let him wrap his strong arms around me, anyway, while returning the favor. Thankfully, it was a quick hug, and just one to show how much he had really missed her.
"I thought about setting up a party, as a sort of … crisening for the ship."
I got excited just hearing the word party. I could dress all slutty like and make everyone want me. Oh yeah I was in. My eyes sparkled at John.
"John that sounds like a wonderful idea! I’m sure the whole crew is looking for an excuse to let go of work for a night. Especially since they don’t know they have to learn a few new systems."
John nodded and pointed to the lavish, corporate looking, chairs with extending screen. It could access every system and room from one area. Each chair had a tiny, gold inscription along the top, telling everyone who was who. It was probably a bit much but still looked nice.
John sat, unsure, at first but as soon as he was down, he was smiling.
"They are really comfortable." He looked in the center of the two chairs and saw another console and a small door hinged to the top.
"What’s this?" Upon closer inspection, I didn’t need to tell him what it was.
"It’s a replicator isn’t it?"
His excitement was to much for me, and now I was holding back laughter.
"It’s only good for drinks and small snacks but it’s great for the graveyard shift."
John smiled at her with his cool, amber eyes.
"Or for when certain captains are late and need a coffee boost."
I laughed. John slid back, and sighed comfortably as he closed his eyes.
There was still about fiveteen minuets before everyone would be complementing her craft-man’s ship, so I headed for my new Ready Room and braced for the overload. I would be meeting every one of my crew members, all over again.
I sighed as I sat in my chair.
Soon there was another swoosh and Jayson was standing there, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"You did a great job! And that door design is brilliant. The new features on the helm are great because now I can literally control every thing."
I had to interrupt him, before I had enough in only five seconds.
"Yes, Jayson. Everything is highest quality, I know. I’m starting to think you seeing me means nothing except this ship."
She was joking, but Jayson continued it anyway.
"That’s not true at all! I’m very pleased to see you after a month. You know the whole ship gets gloomy after about a week, so I have been waiting for this moment for a while."
I gave him an odd look and he let out a ferocious laugh.
"You’re face is priceless."
He continued laughing for a moment, but turned serious again, to give her a quick hug, almost like John’s.
"I’m glad you’re back, Captain."
I didn’t really like the formality, but it seemed to fit the moment quite nicely, and I let him get away with it. He left shortly after and left me to again regain a state of calm.
There wasn’t enough time to let everyone see me one by one, and they mostly came in groups. Some groups held three or four but others held many more than that.
I seemed to loose energy so fast that by noon, I already wanted to sleep.
***************
The mess hall had many crew members watching me as I got some fresh salad and chicken. After I was sitting down, people came to my table and sat down for a moment or two to give me a hand shake and tell me what a great captain I was.
I loved the compliments, if only it could come with out all the attention.
Thankfully no one came to my cozy office after lunch. It seemed that most of them were now figuring out all the new programs, and setting up their rooms.
I relaxed and sat the rest of the day by my self.
John came to see me just before 1700 and told me to be ready for a good time at 2200. Five hours, was more than enough time for me to get ready. On the other hand I didn’t really want to deal with so much attention. I figured if I didn’t go, either John or Jayson would drag me to the party anyway.
***********

Short Chapter. More to come soon enough.
Gotta work all this week so hopefully I can get more done this week.
