~*~Eternal Burning Soul 2 *E*~*~
Disclaimer: The characters are all mine! …. However, there might be a few names, and events that I mention that may play into the real star trek.
Last time:
So a weird start that may have confused a few people. No worry it will come up again in the story line. It’s a murder people. You also find out that the main character, Chelsea wants to help build a ship and she is only 18. And a few of her crew mates want more from her.
You met Chelsea Walker, 18, the main character, and captain of a star ship (currently no name.). Chelsea is bouncy and happy most of the time.
Jayson Starke, 21, who is a good friend and Chelsea’s trusty pilot. Also has a crush on Chelsea but is always blocked by John.
Blake Thompson, 20, who is another captain, who is on the main crew to build Chelsea’s dream ship. He keeps his emotions to himself.
And Johnathan Pike, 23, who is Chelsea’s number one fan…and right hand man. As the commander he knows what’s what.
And so now let’s get on with it.

On the Bridge there were more consoles that you could imagine. Beeping, blipping and blinking different colors from every side of the room. Island consoles stood up from the ground at the top and on the sides nearest the walls of the Bridge . A crew member stood at each console, and each with a different purpose.
To his left stood Ensign Sara Catrall. Highly skilled in all tactical procedures. She stood as the Head Tactical Officer. On his right stood the Weapons Director, Lieutenant Greggory Vanes. He knew every thing about weaponry.
It was almost seemed as if Chelsea hand-picked all of the best.
A door on the left side was the Conference Room used for meetings and briefings, On the right was Chelsea’s Ready Room for private conversations and scoldings. In the center of it all was the double chair, with console attachments, specifically made to sit both the Captain and the Commander, front and center.
In front of the seats was the helm. And a few chairs for the few people needed to make sure every thing was running smoothly, even if the head pilot wasn’t able see it coming.
In front of the helm was the big window pane that let you see in front of you. It also held transmissions from other star ships.
Jayson sat, back turned, deeply involved in the job of checking the flight patterns, the newly found planets yet to be discovered and everything else involved with flying a space cow.
Chelsea had not yet arrived for work. John sat thinking about the absence of Chelsea for an extended period of time. What if she just left us for good?
If she found out she was better suited to design star ships, she could leave. Nothing he said would stop her from getting every thing she wanted, he thought with a scowl on his face.
Maybe she wants too much. All this pressure is bound to crack her exterior, right? Just then John could hear the mechanical door opening behind him.
"Good morning everyone!"
Chelsea greeted everyone especially warm today. Her outfit showed how happy she really was. Sparkles ran throughout her light blue long sleeve shirt, with gray swirlys. A flowing thigh high gray skirt with light blue trim topped it all off.
"I have wonderful news!"
Standing between Jayson and John seemed all too cruel.
It seemed as if both of them were fighting for her attention. Jayson and John both said nothing fearing the next word would ruin the mood. The only thing they could do was stare at Chelsea’s huge smile.
Noticing both guys watching for her next move, Chelsea blushed slightly.
"Well, now that I have your attention. I would like to tell all of you that I am leaving for my trip in about an hour!"
To her, this was great news. To everyone else it meant a gloom would settle over the crew members. Only the John and Jayson were really listening, but Jayson knew that the Commander would be cranky until Cheals came back. Hearing these words neither the Commander nor the Helmsman could say a word.
</span>Jayson was thinking about saying some thing just to cut the silence when just then John stood up. His solemn expression cut through Chelsea’s joy. He looked at her until the feelings sunk in and her smile had disappeared before escaping towards the Captain’s Ready Room.
A few minuets later Chelsea stood at the doorway and was apologizing.
"I don’t understand why this is bothering you so much. I’ll be back in a few months."
He wasn’t facing her. If he did, the words would never come out right.
"I am glad you are excelling where other’s thought you would fail. Chels, You mean a lot to this ship. We just don’t want you to find something better."
The words seemed to work together nicely, but it wouldn’t be enough to keep her from leaving. She came up behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He couldn’t help but turn. Her face was screwed up into worry, and sorrow.
"Listen John, I won’t be leaving Star Fleet for a while. I love being the youngest Captain. I can prove anyone wrong with that title alone."
He interrupted her to cut in a joke so she knew that John was still her friend, "What about an Admiral?"
She tilted her head, "Yeah, an Admiral will always prove me wrong, but Admiral’s are all stuck up anyway."
She stopped to smile at him, " Listen to me I’m counting on you to make the best of these two months. Soon, before you know it, we will be on a nicer, faster, and better star ship!"
He couldn’t help but laugh at her. She seemed too excited to get a new ship. New ships always have tons of glitches.
"You should check and re-check every system before putting in in space. You know how new ships can be."
"See! What would I do without you?"
She had already planned on making a check list, but John’s happiness was far more important.

The doors opened to the blue glow of the Transporter Room. The interior had cool silver walls, and dark blue carpeting that was near plastic.
After typing in the correct coordinates she stood on the transporter pad in a blue circle. A bright blue light swallowed Chelsea and brought her instantly to Blake’s ship, The Great Engineer. The ship was called such because Headquarters had decided that Blake was such a great guy he deserved his own ship and crew, named after him. So now he has a snazzy ship to impress the ladies with.
And Chelsea didn’t even need all of this to impress her. It was his observant eye for detail. No matter what type of ship he created they were always designed to make you feel comfortable and at home.
It just so happened that Chelsea thought it would boost moral, and also provide more drive during battle mode. That was her main purpose in getting this ship built.
While she stood in the new transporter room, she couldn’t help but notice how the carpet ran up along the wall. It was plush and gold. The walls above the carpet was black. The whole effect made her own transporter room look dull.
The hallways on The Engineer were filled with photos and schematics of all the ships he’s created in the past.
Chelsea walked over to one.
"Voyager Duo. Wow. I had no idea that Blake had designed that ship. Sure Voyager had future technologies that no one was supposed to know about. But Voyager Duo had broken warp speed and had a more advanced version of Voyager’s metal shield."
Turning around on the adjacent wall, Chelsea could see the schematics of the same ship. Getting a closer look she could tell that this ship had taken some time. All of the details were genuinely, perfect.
"Love the art work, I see."
Behind Chelsea stood Blake, Dressed to impress. He was wearing a red t-shirt and black pants. It seemed plain, but all the same it was nice, considering how much Chelsea hated Star Fleet uniforms.
"And the clothes. I though you liked the uniforms?"
Blake laughed.
"I live on the ship, with my crew, but we never leave port. It’s like our home. Maybe that is why I design all of my ships to be warm and comfortable. When Voyager came back home, I asked the crew members what they would change from their seven year trek. They all agreed that the dully designed interior of the ship really dampened their stay aboard. Blue and silver is great, but different colors really stand out."
<br style="background-color: rgb(192, 192, 192);” />Chelsea was just thinking how nice it would be if Blake would just hold her in his arms. So warm and comfortable. Her daydreaming had been happening more often nowadays. If she tried to stop them, they would just come back at a more crucial time.
"Chelsea? You still with me?" When she came to, Blake just couldn’t help it, "Did I go to fast for you?"
As if snapping to suddenly, she loudly explained,
"Hey! I was just thinking about how.. Um… How nice it would be to see more of your ship."
Changing her tone, seemingly hurt, she said, "I heard what you said, and understood it. Just because I’m young does not mean that I’m dim."
Blake laughed a little at how cute she looked when she was riled up. At his laughter , Chelsea grew more angry and it showed on her face.
"What?! so you’re just going to laugh at me?" She glared at him till his smile faded. He regained his regular smile and started walking.
"No. Follow me. I had a room set up for you. It’s basic at the moment but I can re-create it to your likings," As he said this he stopped walking for a moment handing her a PADD. After Chelsea took it from his hands he continued down the hall towards the turbo lift.
"I notice you have no bags. Do you need any help bringing them aboard?"
They were just getting in the lift when Chelsea said defiantly,
"I have all my stuff on me. And there will be no need to "re-create" my room. I can do it on my own. I’ll just magic it all up."
She spoke as if it meant nothing to her that she could posses great power. He gave a look of confusion although he knew all about her magic. He wasn’t able to use it himself but some of his greatest friends did. He had lots of experience with it.
"Well I can make anything appear to me from thin air."
She said demonstrating by producing a spoon from nowhere.
Blake nodded, "I know what magic is. It’s become widely used. I just can’t get past how open you are about it."
She thought about it for a second, "Yeah I guess I’m so open about it because I was able to fine tune my abilities within the two years I’ve been actually able to use magic."
The doors opened to a lavishly decorated room. Dark and light blue silk curtains showered to room, giving the appearance of waves overhead. Blue and purple pillows lay on the floor before a holographic fire. A couch made of blue satin sat in the middle of the room. In front of the couch was a glass table with candles at either end. The candles were not lit. They seemed to be placed there merely for decoration. If he used it for scantily clad guests, then he didn’t seem to get many visitors. The wick in each of the candles had not been used yet. All though in retrospect they could have been recently replaced.
Blake disappeared behind a door, behind a blue silk curtain. He had the curtain suspended a few feet above the door so you would never see the door if you didn’t know it was there.
For a minuet she wondered if she should follow but he emerged as quickly as he had left, only now he was carrying two bulky, sheet covered, watermelon sized, in each arm.
He walked to a table in the far left corner of the room. When he got there he placed both items covered in the white sheets on the table. Chelsea was intrigued so she walked over quickly.
"What are they?" She asked when she noticed the devious smile Blake had plastered to his face. He shook his head.
"I want you to guess."
No hint or genre, just guess. Chelsea tilted her head up-wards as if to grab an answer from somewhere other worldly.
"I don’t know. What could you possibly have under there?" She tried grabbing for one of the sheets but Blake was able to catch her. For a moment Blake stood there holding Chelsea’s arm. He wasn’t using any force, but she looked into his green eyes in wonderment, or possibly she had just spaced again.
Finally, Blake let go of her arm giving up. He figured that she was going to find out either way. The quickest way would probably be better.
"If you don’t want to play then fine."
With that he pulled the first sheet, reveling a beautiful star ship that had a slight purple tinge to it. It was exactly how Chelsea had pictured it. Blake could see this in Chelsea’s amethyst eyes. The edges of the ship were the perfect ark on both sides to produce more direct speed. The elegance was matched to the power that the sleek design seemed to show. After enjoying her reaction he pulled the veil off the other model showing a small scale skeleton of the ship.
"Wow! You already have this all made up for me? That’s amazing. You are better than I thought!"
Blake smiled at the comment and pushed the thought of kidnapping her aside.
"It wasn’t as hard as you might think. You gave me blue prints, remember. Besides, I had to create it that fast if we want to met your deadline. So enough chit chat, I need to bring you to the job site so you can become familiar with it."
He walked to a console and beamed the two directly to a huge metal box. It had the beginnings of what looked like it could be a ship scattered, and in pieces around the room.
"This "box", as some call it, is designed so that when we are complete on building any ship, we can send it off as soon as all systems are go. I understand however, that you would like a few extra diagnostic runs and bug reports before setting your vessel in motion."
At her nod he brought the two back to his quarters.
"Do you think you can find your quarters by yourself? I have some important people to meet."
Even though she was sure to get lost she assured Blake that she would be fine on her own, and would have to learn eventually.
She walked down the corridor slowly taking all the ships that passed her view. If she could just find Voyager Duo’s picture she would be fine. When she got to the turbo lift she remembered that she didn’t know which area she resided in or where she was now. Chelsea pressed a few random buttons and the lift started moving. She wanted to see more of the ship.
Soon, Chelsea came out in a red carpeted corridor. Not exactly what she was looking for, but still pretty colorful.
This was not something she had pictured the Blake’s "house" to be. True it was for everyone on his ship, but he just seemed plain.
Eventually Chelsea came to a public door and she could not resist taking a peek inside. Soon she was peering into a huge light blue room filled with tables. A glass counter showed off different meats, vegetables and pasta to create home cooked meals. Behind the counter stood two chefs laughing and tasting sauces. There was also a replication station so you could get what ever you wanted.
She looked out a large pane of glass, extending the entirety of the room. It could only be called a window, but it was the largest window Chelsea had ever seen. She stood and instantly felt she herself floating in space. This relaxed her so well, she stood there looking, for an hour, before using magic to get to her room.

*beeeeeeeep*
Chelsea lay dead asleep on a cloud like mattress, never before experienced. Soon the beep became louder, penetrating the young lady’s deep sleep.
Soon she was in the arms of Blake, eyes slightly open. Since she was being gently shook, it woke her up faster.
He saw her eyes open but forgot to let go, now relaxing his arms and sitting beside her. He had lost himself in her beautiful eyes. He told himself no, but it was her voice that woke him.
"Hey," was her only response, still groggy. Making it seem as if he had never thought of her, he smiled.
"Chelsea, I thought you would like a uniform, to perform the dirty tasks."
Chelsea focused on Blake’s warm smile, it was nice. She could stare at it for hours if she could.
Realizing Blake had said something, she responded, still dazed. His strong arms still holding her up.
"Uniform?"
Blake has really nice hair too, Chelsea thought. I wonder if he styles it himself?
"Yeah, you don’t want to mess up those cute outfits of yours."
Chelsea was wide awake now opening her eyes fully seeing Blake’s handsome face barley inches away.
"You really think that they’re cute?"
Blake laughed quietly, he pushed a few messy clumps of curl out of her face. Chelsea stood stiff for a moment. She wasn’t sure if she could contain the explosion going on within her. Noticing his akward glance she spoke.
"Blake? Are you … alright?"
The words snapped Blake to reality, but he was still able to hide this from Chelsea. T
Wish I could write! Was it Tarka the otter you read? Have you seen the film? I cry my eyes out if I watch it. Happy Friday * HUGS
