Good Feelings

I had my interview, and they offered me the position!

I felt that the interview went well. It was about 45 minutes with the principal, one of the assistant principals, and the ELA instructional coach. They asked the relatively standard teacher interview questions, which I answered to the best of my ability. At the end, the principal said that they should have a decision made by the end of the week.
Well, I drive back to Mom and Dad’s house, felling pretty good about things. It takes about 7-8 minutes to drive from school to here; I get here and immediately get a call from the principal, who tells me that I’m the preferred candidate and they want to offer me the position!

I’m really feeling pretty good about this, now. I’ll let this feeling just sit in for a bit. At least until I get home and need to start thinking about packing and moving…
