Tropical Storm Adrian (update)

Well, it’s a good news for Central america in some sense, as the storm has not strengthened as much as thought possible. Instead winds are around 60 – 65 miles an hour, which are strong tropical storm force winds, but not a hurricane. The storm as of 1am has about 24 hours before it makes landfall, and it’s likely to reach minimal hurricane strength, however the storm continues to ‘entrain’ dry air into the center of the storm, which disrupts the central ‘engine’ that drives the increase of strength of the storm. there is also some increaasing shear that has started to disrupt the outflow of the hurricane, which has further slowed it’s strengthening.

So the prospects for the atlantic continue to brighten, but are still murky, something will make it across central america, and now the big question reamains: will the storm be able to regain strength once it does cross over.
