Snow Finally!
We finally got the first big winter snowfall. This one dropped 8 inches. Prior to that we’ve only received 3 inches at most. Not enough to ski. The temperature has also been above normal so the ground isn’t well frozen. I’ve been out on the back country skis 3 times and on the snowshoes twice. I really love the winter outdoors. Come to think of it, I love the summer and fall outdoors too! Only mud season keeps me away. haha
We have 211 acres of property here in northern Vt. that my great grandfather bought a hundred or so years ago. Most of it was farmed and logged prior to that but since then it has become reforested. We have a series of trails throughout so I can go for miles without leaving the property.
Today the sun came out and I was able to get the solar panels shoveled off so I’m back in the power generation business.
Diane has not been feeling great. She’s tired most of the time and nervous about packing for our Florida trip next week. I gave her a hand selecting clothes and getting stuff into her suitcase. We don’t leave for another week but she gets nervous and likes to get a jump on things. Tuesday she has MRI and PET scans scheduled. The neurologists want to see if they can ID the source of her recent confusion. They wonder if the tumor is growing. She is not going to have surgery anyway so she wonders why they are bothering with the scan. I explained to her that they just want to know what the source of the problem is and if it is treatable. It’s possible that it is medication related and that is something they could address.
