אני קושית יפה/I’m a Cute Black Girl Pg 72
So, my year of conversion is coming to an end. I am so excited but still a lil apprehensive about what lies ahead. I feel good about me becoming Jewish, but I am a little nervous on how I will be able to keep the Jewish Spirit and Feeling in my home and life. I mean my husband is Christian and I don’t know how I will live a Jewish Life when he strong hold to his Christianity and I know that there may come a time when our religious views will clash.

NO! But I do intend on being mindful on my eating habits. I have never intentionally eaten pork, throughout my whole life. I have no intention on eating anything that I know has been treated badly or killed in an inhumane manner. I have never nor will I never eat any non-domesticated or beastlike animal.
As a child I have always loved being part of a community. While doing community services through high school I enjoyed working with children and assisting where I can with various communities. And so, I would love to be involved in any Shul Communities, Youth Groups, Glendale and assisting wherever needed.
Being surrounded by family and friends has always been something that I have enjoyed. While growing up shabbat’s were hardly ever just a meal with my parents and sisters but instead with has many close family friends as we could sit at the table, and so I would love to continue that. Maybe not has regularly as to when I was a child but definitely as regularly as possible. Right now, I live in a 1.5-bedroom flat and going up to JHB for Rosh Hashanah wasn’t possible I decided to do something with some of my conversion family and together we had our own dinner. This just goes to show how I intend on keeping a Jewish Life and Hope however I can. When I decided to convert my sister gave me some ritual items that she collected and that our mother gave her. And I too am continuing to build my own collation of items.

It is what my name means in Hebrew.
It is a name that my father’s sister has, and I remember when I met her when I was just about 5 years old, we immediately connected.
