Mother’s Day
There’s a present sitting on the kitchen counter and I don’t want to have anything to do with it. I don’t want you to think that you can give me anything money can buy to try to fix what’s been done. You want to give me something for mother’s day? Let me tie you to a chair with your ankles and wrists bound with your mouth taped shut and your eyes on me and let me tell you what you mean to me right now. I want to throw the truth in your face and force you to deal with it. I want to make you come close to the way I feel inside, come close to, but you can never ever truly feel the way I do. That’s how you can make me happy on this day.
