Some people claim that there’s a woman to blame,
But I know, it’s my own damn fault.
Yes, and some people claim that there’s a woman to blame,
And I know it’s my own damn fault.

UGH! Going out with friends is a lot of fun, but hangovers are not…lack of sleep is not…feeling gross all day is not.

I went back to my home town this weekend even though the parents weren’t home.  It was really strange.  Even though I grew up there and always used to hang out with friends there, ever since I moved away, the only times I really go home are for family related things.  This was the first time I was going home for myself to hang out with my own friends.  Cas was having a house warming party in the afternoon and that way my main reason for going home.  We had already made plans to go out that night…some place that was more "us" instead of a country bar like we went to when KM was in town.  I had fun at the hosue warming.  I got to see a lot of old friends that I used to work with.  That was nice.  Afterwards, Cas and I just hung out talking.  Later that night, we went out to dinner and that’s when the drinking started.  One too many long island ice teas.  Then we went to this Taven in the ritzy part of town and hung out drinking some more and listening to the band.  Around midnight, we finally decided to go dancing at the club next door.  It was pretty cool.  I give my home town a hard time always but the truth is, it’s actually cooler than I give it credit for.  The club was really cool…kinda like the clubs in Buckhead here.  We danced and drank some more and Cas and I had a ton of fun.  We then met a friend of her’s…a guy her sister went to school with and one of his friends.  We hung out with them the rest of the night until they they closed and then we all ended up back at Cas’s place.  It wasn’t until I was almost passed out on her couch that I realized how drunk I really was.  The whole freakin’ room was spinning and I just wanted to go to sleep.  I fell asleep on one couch, one of the guys on the other and Ca’s friend, the one that went to school with her sister ended up in her room. 🙂  I envy Cas in many ways.  Sometimes I wish I could just randomly hook up with guys and then not think twice about it.  It’s just not me…I need relationships, not just random hook ups.  We all finally woke up after about 5 hours of sleep and Cas drove the guys home while I drove home myself.

I was so hung over.  Totally tired and out of it.  I laid around the house watching Federer get his ass kicked by Nadal and half slept.  I was glad that Nadal won because seeing one person win too much is just not cool.  That’s the reason I hated Pete Sampras…well that, and the fact he came across as no personality at all.  I wonder who would win if there could be a game, Federer vs. Sampras when he was at his prime.  You, know I think Federer would win.  Still, ther is something about Federer that makes me like him and I can’t hate him like I did Sampras.  Nadal was just so down to earth and humble that it was nice to see.  Now I"m looking forward to Wimbledon.  Anyway, after the game was over I drove back home and then laid around all day here too.  I felt gross.  I hadn’t eaten all day and felt like I would trow up if I did.  YUCK.  As much fun as I had the night before, I don’t know that the hang over is worth it.  I don’t even know that it was a total hang over because I remember having those before where the headaches are worse and the feeling sick is worse.  It wasn’t so much that all that was bad, it was more that I was just tired all day and didn’t have the energy to do anything at all.  I guess I’m getting old.

i never got hangovers until i hit around 29 or 30. i would just want to sleep all day and couldn’t eat or even drink anything. i vowed that had to STOP. it wasn’t worth it.

I just love Jimmy Buffett. 🙂

you know how in love with Federer i am, but i totally missed the game today! i was up until 4am and kinda slept through it. also, i’ve just kinda dropped out of watching tennis lately. you’re a nice girl with a HUSSY inside just screaming to get out! i’m so offended. i never fantasize about one-night stands and thrilling hookups. NEVER! 😛 ~

the tennis analysts declare that roger federer is the new borg. i have a lot of respect for him n nadal. i remember back in the day when agassi was the rebel king of rock & roll tennis. now he’s injured, old, n vulnerable. i kinda miss the old agassi. let’s rewind the clocks now. he’s still my boy. i’ve supported him since the 80’s. btw i am a 70’s child. i don’t remember disco or punk that well.
