Instigating a Coup
Fuck you.
Any of you who come here to tell me I’m wrong, to tell me it was imaged, to tell me it’s all propaganda. Fuck you.
In another post I was referencing this event and, as I typed it, I felt uncomfortable – a bit cringe, a bit unsure and silly, a bit uncertain. To that I say … well, you know what I say.
Because … here’s the thing. I watched it happen in real-time. The night of that event, I was watching live from my computer at home. Aware that the stations might try to twist events to their narratives, I watched the event from a left-leaning broadcaster, a right-leaning, and two others I’d consider neutral (plus a Youtuber on the scene). Four-Five channels up at all times, so I could be sure what I saw was true … and I witnessed it on every single channel.
A year of gaslighting and misinformation can do a lot to undermine our confidence in anything, however, and I found that happening to myself when I referenced the event again – I feel weird about it even now – and that’s why I’m making this post. This is a testament to the power of misinformation, that I should question my own eyes and my own memory about those events now that time has made them fuzzy. Fortunately, I also posted about those events in my various social media pages, and that reminded me of how real it all had been.
So that’s what this is, to remind you – and me – that they will lie and deny until they believe it themselves, but on January 6, 2021, a failed president attempted to rally the people into a coup and sent them to the capitol building to commit violence. Anyone who watched it live could attest to the truth of this. Do not let them convince you otherwise and do not be afraid to remind others.
Remember.
