I can’t seem to quit you.. self portraits ( pics

at least not completely oh Open Diary..

 

Though I’ll admit Facebook has sucked me in completely ( come find me! kaeleer42@gmail.com)..  and I still update my LiveJournal  ( under the name "Meccahi" ) regularly. 

 

But, since I’m avoiding A) housework, and B) work work ( I have so much I need to get started on .. there is a ton of stock that needs to be made in a very short amount of time).  Here I am. 

 

I’ve not been out photographing in awhile..  I’ve taken a few shots here and there, but nothing that I would consider stunning.. or really.. worthy of posting.  But this one shot  wasn’t too bad..  taken a couple of days ago when I was playing with some natural light.   

I partially hate, and partially love doing self portraits.. 

I love that there’s an infinite number of ways that we can portray ourselves to the public eye.

I detest the demons that come out and jab at every flaw in either figure or form.  I know perfection isn’t what it appears to be.. but I still want to grasp at it.. knowing that it’s only a fleeting mirage.   But what can I say? I’ve always desired the impossible..  and it’s brought me to many an interesting place.

Be that as it may, playing with natural light is always a pleasure.

 

Oh my goodness!  I completely forgot!

 

I finally finished my very first ever official Ad for World In Chains!  It ran in a flier for one of the shows I did in January ( the Winter FaerieWorld’s Festival..  I was one of their featured vendors).

I’m hoping that I can get motivated enough to start really challenging myself as a photographer to start doing more.  But I think that requires doing things like making stock to pay my bills, and scheduling more shows. 

This being a responsible adult thing?  I’m not very good at it.
