Project 1 (Steampunk Alien)

I’m a very lucky girl in many ways. I make a living ( struggling.. but it’s still sort of a living) making chainmail armor and jewelry. I travel constantly. Creation IS my existence.  But even then… I still want more.  I want to do more with my hands. I’ve felt lately that photography and chainmail were not enough. I haven’t played any of my guitars in ages, and I’m rectifying that soon. But I wanted to get something done. Something I’d never done before.

It all culminated in Project 1. Steampunk has become more and more fascinating to me lately, and the style was something I wanted to try a re-create. What I came up with was this.   It’s not steampunk. I’m not quite sure what it is… but it felt right.

Project 1- In the Dark ( this is my favorite part)

Pretty much everything used in this project were things that were lying around the house and under the cupboards. The animal bones I have for another project that I’m starting. The only thing that was purchased was the wooden backboard..

This project was a blast.. and there will definitely be more to come.
