Magik meets Reality – Photos

Oh  Open Diary, How I neglect you so!  I update my LJ oh so much more often than you.. but you still hold a special place in my heart.

 

I’ve been all over the place lately.. just a couple of weeks ago ( it feels like months).. I was in Kentucky.. then to Arizona.. then to California for San Diego Comic-con.. then to Oregon to vend at Faerieworld’s Festival.. THEN to Washington .. just to see Washington.  Now I’m back in Portland, relaxing and getting chubby from all of the delicious food.

 

I’ve been giving my camera a workout… and below are just a few of the results. I’m pleased.  I’m still an amateur.. but I’m still pleased.

This is Mount Rainier… more beautiful than I could ever imagined. Even being there, I couldn’t believe it was real.

 

Another shot from Rainier.. this one in Black and White. It reminds me of a Brother’s Hildebrandt sketch.

 

And then… same shot.. I added a couple of filters.. and it blossoms from sketch, to full blown Hildebrandt fantasy painting. Straight from their Tolkien days.

Just a few… I’m having such fun with my new Canon..

 

Heading to Astoria tomorrow… then to Tillamook, and Girabaldi.. then on to the California Redwoods.. then down the coastline .. then back to Arizona.  Rar.  Starting to get vaguely homesick. And by homesick.. I truly mean it. I mis my house… not the state.. not the town.. nothing really in Arizona.. except my house and the cats. It’s been almost 3 months ( minus the 23 hours I was there to drop off the big tent and see the boy and the cats before heading to Cali.)

I still read my favorites on a regular basis.. I’m just a terribly noter. But a wonderful lurker!
