Pessimistic vs. Optimistic (adorable)

I was in church today when my pastor told this little story that I just had to share it with you all. It’s so cute! So here we go…

Some scientists were doing a study on pessimistic versus optimistic children. They took a child whose parents said he was unfailingly happy and optimistic about everything and another child whose parents felt was a pessimist. The optimist was placed in a room with a large pile of horse dung on the floor and the pessimist was in another room filled with different toys he could play with.

When they looked in on the pessimist he was crying about being bored with the toys. He was throwing the toys and saying they were broken and no more fun (even though he broke them). The scientists then turned to the optimist and saw that he was digging excitedly through the horse dung while smiling and laughing. One scientist ran into the room and asked the boy why he was happily digging in the dung when the little boy looked up with a smile on his face and said, "With all this poopy there has to be a pony in there!"

Cute huh?

Anyway, thought you guys could use a smile.

Oh, and my pastor also touched on the sanctity of marriage (we had a guest speaker who spoke about his infidelities briefly). If you read my entry before this, his bit covering marriage mad me feel badly. *sigh*
