double you tee eff?!

So mom gets home and we are watching the Sex and the City movie, which is of course rated R for the intense sex scenes. As I hope you remember, my mother is a solid woman in her beliefs and gets a tad bit uncomfortable with nudity (tad being a slight understatement). She walks through the door right as Miranda and Steve are making up and automatically the three of us (sister,me,dad) shuffle around looking for the remote to stop it. Mom walks through already saying, "What the hell are y’all watching? I don’t care to come home from a long day at work to see people having sex on t.v….etc." My sister locates the remote as my dad sucks up his man card and attempts to soothe my mother with questions about her meeting. Sister turns off the film angrily and grabs her blankets, her body language told me she would be upset. Naturally I tried to comfort her and ask that we continue watching it when mom is away again on Wednesday since we both work Tuesday. But, the nerve of her, she slams her clothes in the dryer like the bratty b!tch that she is sometimes and when I ask her what’s wrong she grunts an annoyingly snotty "nothing" my way.

Well excuse me for wanting to make you laugh it off. No need to bite my head off. Moments like that she makes me happy I never see her anymore. It’s a movie for Christ’s sake! When is she ever going to grow up? She should have known that mom wasn’t going to like it, it’s a given. We up and walked right out of Love Actually because some nipples flashed across the screen in the theater. I was pissed then, but hey, a friend of mine has a mother who is way more lenient and let her daughter buy the film. I stayed over at her house and we watched it then. What’s the big deal? Last time I try to comfort my older, younger sister…

RYN: Lol yeah…she is menopausal, but she’s always been like this…lol. Yeah I do actually play. I started learning how to play a year ago, and I would love to put music to your song but I don’t own my own guitar 🙁 I used to just borrow from the school, I’ve been trying to get one though. So if I get one I will definitely put music to your song for you 😀

I’d never watched but one or two of the series of Sex & The City. But someone gave me a full set of the first of the series, so plan to watch it while I recover from left knee surgery. Cute write up of your mom’s prudance. Funny the way we each are.
