Secret

So, we aren’t telling anyone for a least a week, but since this is my secret diary… I figured I can tell it here. LOL

We brought home a rescued puppy mill dog yesterday. We took Amos to the Rescue he came from to meet some dogs. He was VERY excited. We only ended up meeting two dogs, but we brought home the one we had our hearts set on. Amos is sort of blah about the whole thing. He liked both girls, but seems to care less about whether we brought one home or not. Which I think is a good sign. He hasn’t shown a single bit of aggression and in fact is very patient and tolerant. Its almost like he knows that she needs help. She is far from the worst case scenerio for a breeder dog, but she’s definitely worse than any dog I’ve ever met. When she came into the play area, she came in commando style… completely flattened out. She army crawled over and under Amos and was shaking like a leaf when we pet her. Oh, her name is Rosie and she looks just like Amos. She is so so sweet. She doesn’t know how to be a dog. She lived her entire life up until November in a greenhouse being a breeder. One paper says she’s 9 but the other says she’s 11. Its heart breaking… 9 years solid in a greenhouse being forced to breed and have puppies that are taken away from you. What about in the summer when its hot in the green house? She doesn’t know what a leash is and she sinks low when we put it on her… but she’s adjusting. She’s very confident outside and Amos and her look good trotting around together. The adoption person said that in about 2 weeks we will notice a huge difference. Right now the big challenge seems to be our cat. LOL Shanti just keeps growling at her and that makes her very interested. Here are some pictures. She’s so so pretty and so sweet. I sometimes get Amos and her mixed up.

In other really good news… I just got TWO more morning yoga classes!!! They are 40 minutes away, but I’m asking for a little more money which they are willing to pay me! 🙂 2013 is great so far!
