10 years of Brightspace

Claudia and I went to the opening of Brightspace 10 year anniversary exhibition last Saturday. I was a bit of fun. Unfortunately John Taylor didn’t make it back from Daylesford to collect his painting which I had in the car. Last time they bought a painting I ended up with it in my house for years, I am wary of repeating that again. The other main reason for going other than handing over my painting was to see Peter Kennedy’s painting in the show. It was hung in a pretty dark room which made him understandably upset. The room was meant to be moody. I heard that Brightspace charge for a show now. If that is right then I won’t be having a vanity show there after all as being free was the only thing going for them, they never bring in any buyers.

I was working on the violet painting last night. It is getting less evidently violet. I have added some more orange (probably too much) and dark green grey. It is still open whether I should add some red. I think I will continue with a range of greys and blacks and then revert to violet.

Work is on the quiet side again. I had a meeting with the ceo and a manager some weeks ago to discuss where my position is headed. They were having the same discussion with everyone, but it was actually relevant to my job given that Flash is dying and we need to identify what I will do in the post Flash future. It became apparent they have little idea of what I do. The ceo mentioned me going full time in order to have everyone working the same days. I said I can work full time. Steve said last week it wasn’t going to happen. I think he has a better idea of commitments. Well I suppose I better go skill up in jQuery.
