I did end up lurking a bit last Friday at work before beer o’clock. I joined a penpal site! I didn’t spend a lot of time there but I have been contacted on the site over the weekend quite a few times mainly by Africans. I am not sure how genuine the immediate responses are, whether they end up just asking you for money to visit or some such. One, after I replied, asked me to his wedding in Uganda, which is alarming. No one is THAT friendly!

We are minding a friend’s dog till this afternoon. The dog is fine but the cats are having conniptions. I forgot the dog was in the other room earlier and was wondering what the strange scratching sound was until I remembered.

I took the car to get fixed this morning. There is at the moment a break in the rain, I better use it to walk to the bank, taking the dog of course, it is a fair distance. Maybe the cats will use the opportunity to come out from under the bed but I doubt it.
