Jack’s fees
I paid Jack’s fees which has left me low on funds. The mortgage is due soon and I have funds for that but I was cash strapped. Luckily I was paid for the painting I sold on bluethumb and had some medical bills I could get reimbursed for at Medicare so now I have enough to get me through until the next pay, which is Wednesday or Thursday.
I went to take Jeanne’s iPhone which she gave to us to the Optus shop to get it switched over to my number but it was dead. Next we couldn’t find the recharger. I am not enthusiastic about having a phone that won’t fit in my pocket and I have to worry about losing. My old phone from 2002 is a joke, it barely does a call that I can hear and txting takes forever, but I don’t have to worry about it. Oh well, I guess this is called progress.
It has been mostly raining for a week. The grass is getting ridiculously long in the back yard but it is too wet to cut. I think I will have to go paint as an indoor activity. We were going to play badminton this afternoon but the courts are booked up.
I was telling John that my painting practice has evolved into a fashion very suitable for my start stop time allocation. John is having a show at Carbon Black in Prahran in May. John and Aileen are having us over for Sunday curry next week which should be a blast. Andrew will be there but not Rachel. I have not seen Andrew for years, I guess it would have last been at one of John’s openings. Tim Webb mentioned in a email that he had sold a painting of Andrew’s in Germany and reckoned he could have a go at selling mine.
Also next Thursday we are going out to dinner with Claudia’s friends Monique and Pete.
Work rolls on with bibs and bobs. I should come up with a killer professional development assignment to fall back on when I am between tasks and end up assigning more time to tasks than I have really spent but I can’t think what the project should be at this stage. I suppose it will be a PhoneGap development.
