CoH CoS (Chapter 22)

Damien and Anita arrived in the hall of Knight, in the Knights headquarters.

“Come on.” Damien said, running toward the main ready rooms. As he ran into the war room all the Knights stood up and saluted.

“As you were.” Damien commanded, throwing a quick salute and striding toward the SD table.

“Chip, what have we got?”

Chip saluted Damien and gave a quick nod to Anita before turning to the Stragedy Defense table.

“We have a ten plus group of Randon. All sergeants or higher. We think it may be a fifteen group. We’re putting together a team to deal with them now. I went ahead and kept two of the slots open. One for you and one for Anita…if she so wishes.”

“It would be my honor to take part in this battle.”

“Good, in that case it should be a even split of Knight and Arias.”

“What’s the ETA for our interception?”

“About twenty mintues.”

“Good, just enough to to get outfitted. Sergio!”

“Yes sir?”

“Ready my battle armor.”

“Yes sir!”

“Damien!”

Damien turned to see Athena running up to him. He gave her a stern look as she approched.

“um..I mean..um..sir!”

“What is it cadet?”

“I wish to take place in this battle sir.”

“Permission denied. Your scores in sim are not up to par with the AV level we’re going up against. I need you to stay here. That’s an order.”

“But I..”

“I said, that’s an order!”

“Yes sir.”

Sergio brought Damien’s special suit of Knight battle armor. He and Anita suited up. Damien, Anita, and Chip walked out to join the battle group heading to intercept the Randon…
