*SPLODES moreso*
Does anyone remember the unsigned notes that had ill contempt plastered all over them? Remember the clue that the person writing them was from my homeroom? Well…Maestro isn’t as stupid as he seems…he can indeed put two and two together.
There is a man in our midst who does NOT like our Hero…
Perhaps you know that Maestro is a cameraman for KING TV, the morning announcement program at his school? If you didn’t, you do now. Well anyway, the cameramen need direction in order to know which shots to get. Sure, they could guess, but that would be very messy. So along with the cameramen there is a director who must always be communicating with them. KING TV’s director does a good job, there are no doubts there. It is a stressful job and he has consistently kept things running as smoothly as possible. What our Hero didn’t realize is apparently the director thinks just the opposite of the cameramen. You doubt? Allow me to illustrate…
What worries me is that it’s not the right people who are showing up for training. I have every confidence in the world in the people who are showing up. It’s the camera operators who need all of the training, in my opinion. They’re worth very little, especially when people who have never run camera, or have only run it once or twice, do better than they do.
Our broadcast this morning went a lot better than it did yesterday (although our camera operators still need to be told what a good shot looks like) and that set the tone for my entire day.
We had a good broadcast today. It always amazes me how someone who has only run camera a couple of times can run a camera better than our normal camera operators. It’s one of life’s mysteries, I guess. I’m getting frustrated with our normal camera operators; I really need to talk to Mr. Cook about it one of these days.
Another great day today. Superb broadcast by a crew that (with the exception of the camera operators) is as close to professional as it can get.
There’s some Cleveland Jazz Orchestra assembly tomorrow. Looking over the crew list, I’m thrilled to be directing, especially since I can’t trust two of the camera operators when they do the Morning Announcements.
Ideally, I think I’d eliminate half of KTV’s staff for the reasons that either:
1. They’re absolutely worthless with regards to contributing to our broadcasts
2. They drive me nuts
3. A combination of both
Of our current staff, I’d probably keep Joe, Justin, Jordan, Sean, G, Alyssa, Vicious Vegetarian, myself, Ryan Heise, Ronnie, Lisa, and Greg.
The broadcast went off well today. Of course, the camera operators are idiots, but I’ve got to work on changing that.
And to all the KTV members that read this: You’re doing a fantastic job. However, if your job title is “camera operator” then don’t think that applies to you.
Good broadcast today. Of course, after making three days of steady progress, the camera operators have regressed back into their normal selves, requiring instruction in every shot they frame.
Those are all direct quotes from the director, which he wrote in his live journal (similar to this one).
Now, to be fair, our Hero has not always been at his BEST…but that by no means is saying that he has been doing a terrible job. None of the other KING TV members have made any comment to Maestro or his cocameraman Greg that they have been doing a bad job. Mr. Cook would surely say something. And he hasn’t. Both Maestro and Greg have listened to everything the director says, getting all of the shots…on time…etc. Really, there isn’t even much of any room for error – ESPECIALLY when there is a director dictating everything.
I just think the director doesn’t give the cameramen enough credit…
Of course, who knows…maybe he just has an instinctual hatred for cameramen…
But nonetheless, our Hero wants to issue an apology to the director for whatever it is that Maestro has done to offend him. I now know that he has been reading this (and leaving notes), so hopefully he will read this entry also. I would also like to say that he is free to leave notes, but I would prefer that they not be malicious in nature. I have nothing against him, I hope he realizes that.
It is important that everyone in KING TV (or life in general for that matter) can get along, otherwise they can never work together and make a good show. And speaking of a good show…Maestro and his mate Sam Moodey have gotten approval from Mr. Cook (teacher who is head of KING TV if you did not know) to have their own show to go along with KING TV. It will consist of humorous antics meant simply to get a laugh out of all those grumpy, half awake high schoolers who are wacthing the announcments every morning. A noble enough goal, don’t you think? I will have updates about that and other notable things later…So until I actually do save the world from hateful directors AND those other pesky anonymous noters…

yeah, but you know what’s cool? The guy who didn’t like you is probably still reading this, if you only changed the ability to leave notes. Probably, that girl that wants to bang you is still reading this too. I think you should send her a shout out and be like “yo, baby, if you wanna ride the Maestro, ya’ll gotta back dat ass up”. or something like that. Some similar sentiment, yes. Bye bye

As a former producer for KING-TV, I certainly understand your position. KING-TV is no stranger to conflict and clashing of personalities, but that’s going to happen in any TV station. Trust me, I see at my station now. My suggestion is to talk it over with Cook and the current producer. You’ll be amazed at what can happen once things are out in the open. Good luck.
