Noise Collection Vol. 1

This album by Combicrist transports me to a different frame of mind every time I listen. Superficially the music makes me tune everything out and do this mundane scanning. I am behaving as industrious or mechanical as the music. That’s direct inspiration of sorts.

I think its gone deeper now. This type of industrial music is made by guys I think take music to the extreme of being just rhythm. That’s pretty existential. It turns something like music that’s supposed to be beautiful and turn it into something ugly and disrespectful. That’s existential, again. Life is pretty ugly for the most part. My mind now spins off into a bunch of irrefutable ironies such as the rich needing the poor just as much as the poor need the rich. You too can have that American Dream, if you just work hard like I did. I found some good quotes by a philospher today, Heraclitus who originated the expression "change is the only constant." The others that piqued my interest  were more in line with the cyclical nature of history and its generational archetypes on thefourthturning forums. I also saw something to the affect of, "you can have happiness or money, but not both."

If you want to check out the album, go ahead. I figure a majority of people will be turned off quickly.

As far as the weekend goes, I believe it will be a bunch of yard work and interior work aside from Shultzy’s tonight with CapChef, ETaurus and his fiancee OLeo (I might have called her CLeo in the past for Chorus or Choir, but she’s actually an Opera singer working as a receptionist right now). I haven’t landed a job for next week so I have to look out for opportunities. I might use Worksource to revise my resume or at least get some pointers. I will be talking to WGU and Green River. I am leaning toward WGU because I might be able to make a move toward my stengths. As one of my friends here pointed out, most people get nervous starting new positions so its exceptional that I am unphased (related to avoidant-attachment behavior?). There is a branch of Accountemps that hires contractors internally with benefits of working long contracts with 3 weeks off between the start and end of any contract…oh, and those are paid by the way. There are also benefits with that situation, so hopefully I can make that happen and cover Twin under a Health Plan I’d receive for the day we have a medical emergency, or she’s pregnant and children born from that.
