Not So Bad

This summer has gotten beter since last I wrote. Mike and I see each other more often now, since we both agree that going for a month without seeing each other really sucks. I went to see him on June 22nd, which was a lot of fun, other than the bus ride. On the bus ride to Binghamton, the bus was supposed to get here at 7:35 am but came an hour late. I missed my connection and had to wait an hour and a half to get another bus. I was in the bus station to a hot guy named Rob (who was visiting his long distance girlfriend in Elmira) so the extra wait in Monticello wasn’t a total bust. I did however get to Binghamton two hours late, which sucked since I had been up since 6 am. Mike and I ended up going to bed around 7 pm…actually we were having sex most of the night (6 times baby) but we slept a lot too…God I miss sleeping with him… The next morning he told me he loved me  (HUGE grin). The trip itself was fun. We went up to Syracuse to see his brother who’s doing a summer research program there. We went to Ithaca to visit a state park, and I also got to see Biggie. Mike and I went out to the Rat with Tanya for her 23rd birthday, which was fun.

Mike came to Long Island the following week for the Fourth of July…We went to the movies with Jake, went out to breakfast, hung out downtown, went out to dinner twice with my parents, and went to the beach (where we got pretty sunburned). All in all it was a good trip.

Mikey’s coming back in 13 days and then in another two weeks I’m going up to Binghamton to see him. Two weeks after that, I’m going back to school for good.

As for work…I’m going to start shadowing the PA next week. She already promised me she’d write me a letter of recommendation, which is great news. Volunteering is going well. I’m not having as much fun as I did three summers ago, but it’s a different batch of kids…this sounds bad, but they’re definitely crazier than the ones I worked with years ago. Camp is going better than any other year. My group. though sometimes obnoxious, is generally a good group of kids. We just went to Splish Splash water park with them and had an awesome time. Tim, my co-worker, and I took all of the boys in my group and just had a blast on the rides. Tim’s a sweet guy…he’s funny and goofy and knows how to make the boys laugh…it was hard to believe that I was actually getting paid for this….Amanda, my other co, i turning into a bossy bitch, but Tim and I basically ignore her, so it’s OK. I’m not fond of my bosses, but that’s nothing new.

Becca, Jeff, and I are fighting, but they’re moving out soon, so I’m just trying to ignore the both of them. 41 days until I go back to Binghamton…
