E-Mail from HR *EDIT*

pregnancy calendar

Ok, here’s the deal:

You can only change/add insurance mid-year when you have a qualifying event (have a baby, get married, divorced, etc.). However, being pregnant is not considered a qualifying event. So, you will have to wait until open enrollment to enroll in benefits through OCA and have insurance effective 1/1/08. Until then, you will have to pay out of pocket for any expenses you incur. In the meantime, you could try talking to your OB/GYN and see if certain procedures/tests can wait until your insurance kicks in. Let me know if you have any questions.

So it looks like thats out of the question………

 *EDIT*

So, I read that email again and then decided to mention that I had just gotten married…..she said it had to be within 30 days.

Still frustrated, I know it will work itself out.  I guess Im just antsy.  I want to take care of Piglet the best I can and I feel like if I dont have prenatal exams then Im not doing the best I can.

Then again……what about the chuck wagon days…..they didnt have prenatal care…..ugh, I dunno.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope you get the medicade. I know that feeling that things aren’t working out when you need help to make everything ok for the baby in the belly. *sigh* otherwise, happy thanksgiving!
