Puzzy Pettitte

The last thing I want to do is bad mouth my boys, but when you give up 2 homers bringing in 3 runs within the first 10 minutes of a game, your ass needs to have splinters in it.  They should have pulled him right then and there.  That set the stage for the entire rest of the game.  So sad.

The saddest part, Stephen, Me, Mom & Dad were all there.  It was the first time all 4 of us had been to the new stadium.  Stephen because he’s not from here.  The rest of us, just because we havent gone since back in the dome days.  Its probably been 6 or more years since Ive been to a Stros game and I was let down.  Luckily it was only the 2nd game of the season.

By the 9th inning I was begging for just one run.  I didnt want to see them get shut out, one run and I’d be happy.  I got my wish plus one and it was a very exciting last stitch effort.  I knew they werent going to score 12 runs in the bottom of the ninth, but Im glad they didnt get shut out.

The crowd was cheering when they pulled Pettitte off the mound, myself included, it was about time.

Almost at the end of the game, a play was made to first, unsuccessful and we made it on base, me being blind only saw half of what was going on most of the time but I did see the Marlins first baseman drop to the ground and kick his legs like a baby, I asked Stephen what happened, thinking he saw the guy get hit, but he just told me that the first baseman missed the ball, he didnt see the guy drop to the ground.  So I told him something had to have happened for him to drop like that and Stephen said maybe he got dirt in his eyes, I told him no, the way he fell and kicked his legs, it had to be more.  Apparently it was, they delayed the game for a bit, we couldnt see what was going on from our angle, but apparently the guy did get hurt.  Still dunno what happened to him.  ::shrugs::

Anyways, Im excited I got to go to the game.  I ended up buying tickets for seats I wouldnt be able to see very well from so I tried all day to get rid of them, finally mom said her and dad would go.  Im only gonna make them pay half of what I paid for them.  Stephen and I had dugout seats, they could have been better but they were pretty good.  In the last inning fly balls were coming all around us, but none to us.  I enjoyed myself.  I think he did as well, to an extent.

Since he’s a Mets fan, I guess we will have to go to a game when they are in town.  Someone (hopefully Stephen) is gonna be miserable after the game ( I will see to rubbing our victory in nice and hard)  LOL.

Turns out the seats I originally bought were good seats as well. Stephen and I walked down there to say hello and make sure they made it to the game alright.  The view wasnt bad at all.  They were right next to the right field foul pole.

Before the 7th inning the stadium started to clear out.  Thats ridiculous, I garuntee when the boys start doing well, those people will come back and pretend to be fans.  They are only fans when the boys are winning.

Overall, I give the night an A-.  It was nice to do something on a whim, nothing planned, just "hey, lets go"

Have I mentioned how much I love Stephen?

PS He called me just a little while ago, his little brother may have broke his arm.  Poor guy. Hopefully not, but we shall see.
