Real Estate Appraiser

Employee Evaluation Six Month

December 1, 2004

Kimberly, your performance continues to be outstanding for someone with your experience and age. You have well earned all the raises you have received this past year.  I expect to see you receiving more raises in the future as you continue to improve in the work we do.

I value your knowledge, abilities, and input into the process of this office completing appraisal reports.  You continue to advance in understanding and ability in all areas. Only one area appears to be giving you undue difficulty, making a phone call to someone who might ask a question you don’t know the answer to. You have no difficulty in telling a caller that you don’t know the answer, and then getting back to them with the answer when you have it. The cold call is the only thing that seems to be giving you a real problem.

General Appearance & demeanor—

Good

Timeliness-

Good. Advises of needed time off and when morning reporting time is expected to be delayed. Marks on calendar to help an old man’s memory

Answering Telephone-

Good. Answers almost all calls before second ring. Gets correct name, number, & message on most calls.  A few have been able to slip through when things get busy.

Making phone calls.

Needs to work on reluctance to make a phone call that might result in a question she does not know the answer to. This is a natural problem for everyone. You are making progress and I hope and expect to continue to see your abilities improve with time.

Mail—

Good on getting mail daily.

Selection of what is placed on my desk is good.

Good on getting outgoing mail into the mail box on a daily basis.

Good on reconciling payments and preparing deposits. Need to reconcile American Express prior to placing on my desk.

Inquiries on fee & turn time-

Good. Informs caller of fee and turn time and notes on message so I don’t have to return call. Especially when I am in the process of discounting some AMC’s

Commercial appraisers should receive the fax page we have made up with the five appraisers listed. Keep the name, number, etc of those appraisers who call so we can contact them when needed to. Tell the caller we will fax them sales information we know of if they will tell us what they are appraising. Get enough information so you know what property they are appraising.

Accepted Appraisal Request-FSU & PV-

Good. Except for those that are unique or in new areas you do good on picking the area to search. Puts CS together & is developing ability to choose proper order of CS’s

Mapping-

<P class=MsoNormal style=”MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt”>Good. Considerably better than anyone else has ever been.

MCS & Wintotal Entries-

You know Wintotal well and get field information entered in the proper place if I put in it the field papers.

Sketch-

Great on doing the interior sketch. Seldom gets confused with my messy drawings

Filing-

Good work. This is something that is so far down the list it understandably gets set aside. Hopefully this problem can be solved in the near future.

File at hand.

Good. Usually is able to keep her mind on the file she is working on.

Good about having only one file open.

You did very well with our heavy work load this past summer. I would never have been able to keep up with one a day during that three month period without your help. Next summer we might be able to get one a day with me writing only one on the weekend.

Please adjust your pay upward by $0.50 per hour to $8.75 per hour effective with the check for the week ending 12/5/2004.

Thank you.
