To remind myself that I’m working:

Just a note to my future self, should I go through this journal on a bad day. Today, I am working. I have submitted my 4th poem this month for publication. Yes, it was a low-stakes poem to a low-stakes journal, albeit a journal I greatly enjoy. They pay a token fee for accepted work. They accept 3 submissions per issue. I’ve submitted 3 poems to them this month. The other was to a competition. The win here is doing the scary submitting thing.  I haven’t written today. I think it’s a walk followed by work kind of afternoon.

I also invoiced a client because getting paid for my work is actually a good and necessary thing. And I know I’ll probably be paid very soon so that’s very cool. In other money news, I also got a little gift card for filling out some survey like a month ago.
