Okay. It is 2:00pm, and the nurse

K a shot of Heparin (for those not in the know, it is a blood thinner that they give so that not moving around isn’t dangerous).

He’s gone to sleep, after just having took a little stroll around the floor.

I don’t know what they will think of his lunch intake. He had ½ a bowl of vegetable soup, ½ a cup of apple juice and 2 bites of coleslaw.

*physician’s assistant was just in and she is getting his discharge paperwork started – said we should be able to leave around 4-ish.*

Yay!! Hospital time is almost over.

The nurses and aides have basically bailed out on him anyway. Should have kept my mouth shut about being a CNA, because now they all think that they don’t have to take care of him, because he is in good hands with his wife, the CNA. Pfft. I really don’t mind helping take care of my husband, but isn’t that what they are paid for?

Okay, rant over.

I can’t wait to get Girl1sc’s bracelet in the mail. It was soooo pretty in the picture on her diary page.

I got a funny-shaped (it’s round, but looks twisted) one down in the gift shop this afternoon. It has the "Peace Prayer of St. Francis" on it:

*Lord make me an instrument of Thy PEACE.

 Where there is hatred, let me sow LOVE.

The prayer is printed on both sides, and you can actually read both sides in one continuous circle. Wierd. Love it.

I hear on the news that there is going to be record-breaking heat wave for the next 3 days. Up to 96°. Thank goodness K is past the dangerous stage of his post-surgery. We’ll keep him filled with pain meds, not lifting or straining anything, and he should heal up really good in the next week or so.
