Well, what was supposed to be an outpatient surgery – in and out Friday night, has turned into 5 days and 4 nights now.

We are waiting on the doctor to do his rounds this morning, to see if K can go home today. I’m pretty sure that he will be able to, because he is getting better at getting up and around, and he’s not as groggy and in pain as before. But. He still is on an IV and hasn’t eaten anything solid – and he’s had diarrhea all night. (Don’t tell him I told you that, he would be soooo mortified).

I really ought to go and get a cup of coffee and wake my ass up. Today will be a really busy day if we DO get to go home.

K says that we have to get a plank for our front picture window – it has been cracked all the way down one side for almost 20 years – but if we get the back winds from Earl, it’s better to be covered, because it bows in and out with the wind during storms.

We also need to stock up on gas, drinking water and canned foods. Better to be safe than sorry, right? I just hope the boys will help me get all of this together, because K can’t right now.

So, anyway…..off to find some coffee. Will write after the doctor has been in and we hear what he has to say.
