surface rust

The other day K showed me the surface rust on all of the places that I had sanded on the Falcon. I was disgusted and disheartened. All of that work, and now I have to go back and sand all those places again. Poop. Last night I re-sanded the trunk, and K put paper and tape on the places that we didn’t want to paint, and he covered the trunk with primer. It looks pretty good. I’m going out in a few minutes to sand the right side front quarter panel, so he can primer that too.

Aaron has been okay. We talked yesterday, and both of us are trying not to agitate the other. It’s not really hard, he is almost pleasant right now.

For my part, I had to let go of alot of control that I was trying to keep. I can’t control every moment of his day. He will be 17 in a few months, and I guess that it is time that he started making his own decisions.

Youngest is having a hard time adjusting to his brother being home. They’ve always fought and hated each other, but Aaron refuses to get entangled in that again, but youngest is pushing and pushing. Hopefully he (youngest) will get over it soon.

Colored my hair a few nights ago. K picked out the color that he thought matched my natural hair, but it seemed to dark to me. Whatever. I just wanted to get rid of the strands of grey/silver that are popping up on the top of my head. Yesterday I looked in the mirror, and the greys are coming back. Dammit. I colored it for nothing. I went down to E-Clips (where Amy has been doing my hair for 7 years), and I asked her if she could fix it. She said of course, didn’t she always fix it when I f***ed it up?

Anyway, getting ready to go out and sand that quarter panel.
