STARBUCKS:doubleshot

Going to be leaving for work in about 20 minutes. I know! It’s outrageous to be leaving for work at 11:45! I wasn’t planning on going to work tonight, but they called and they were desperate for someone to come in, even if only for a few hours.

I intended on sleeping from 5:00 til 10:30, but I was reading a really good book, and I couldn’t seem to put it down, even to sleep. Good news: I finished the book. Awesome, it was. Bad news: I’m dragging my ass, and I am plying myself with a caffeine/energy drink.

I’m not absolutely sure, but I think that I don’t want to be changing dirty diapers anymore. Maybe a nice secretarial job? Something involving paperwork, my ass sitting down to work, and the medical field.

I used to think I wanted to be a writer. But, truth is, I pretty much suck at writing. Then I wanted to be a nurse. But I still haven’t worked up the courage to take chemistry & algebra.

So what do I want to be when I grow up? A forensic anthropologist. But maybe I’m a bit too old for that. And I really really suck at science.

Aaron called his father on his cell, while we were out in the boat. Seemed a little surprised that we might actually be going about our lives while he toys with the idea of coming home or not.

He was calling for permission to do a job with one of his teachers in Dover. Keep in mind that he is currently living in Bangor, 45 minutes away from Dover. Kevin suggested that he come home and stay while he is doing this "job". He says he hasn’t decided yet what he wants to do.

There will come a time when K gets tired of this game, and demands that he come home – but I think they may be towards the end of summer. I periodically get mad at Aaron for not coming home, and then I am glad that I have the summer "off", and then I miss him, but still can’t tell him how I’m feeling about his being away for the summer.

Maybe it IS good for us to be apart.

He’s just so damned IMMATURE! And his grandfather and his uncle are egging him on. Although, his grandfather had a row with him the other day, and he demanded "my house, my rules" – sound familiar?

Anyway, I need to go brush my teeth and get my ass in gear.

He will be OK! Your men folk are watching out for him now – so there’s nothing to worry about. Now, he needs to learn how to be a man. That’s what Kevin & his Grandfather are there for. YOU have done your part in raising him. His leaving has forced you to step back – and that’s as it should be! I’ve been there, done that. ;D Czah!
