green sluuuuuuudge
Kev is home. His LTD broke down about 30 miles from home. Called me to come and get him. My brother is on the way to pick up the car with his ramp truck. Ah, the lovelies of having a brother who is a mechanic.
We haven’t had dinner yet, everybody just had a BIG piece of the carrot cake I made last night. Now I’m not hungry anyway.
And, I discovered that my laptop does NOT have word pad, like this computer. I am bummed. To the max….lol.
I wonder if I can transcribe my handwritten journals into the word pad on this (this is hubby’s/desk computer) and paste them in here, and then save them to a disk? But really, that seems like an awful lot of trouble. I keep thinking that if OD ever "goes down", I will lose all of the entries that I have put in…..but, d’oh, I have it all written down anyway. 
Anyway, gonna transcribe a few more entries while I wait for my brother to show up.

I wonder if the best thing wouldn’t be to set up your own writing site – as in http://www.whatever.com so you’ll know that it’s somewhere in cyber-space. The unfortunate part is that it has to be attached to a human domain in order for you to access it! Hmmm!!?? You try to perserve things – but there is always an EXPIRY date somewhere down the line. C

You can back up your diary, which I suggest doing once a month since it has crashed in the past and I have lost large chunks of my life.
