Privacy

I didn’t post yesterday though my intention has been to post everyday. I sat quietly alone thinking about the many things I really am grateful for. We had a bad run of things before we left Long Island. Every day here is better than what had once been. Yesterday, I was thankful for that change, to simply be in a different state in life. I took the opportunity to go back to bed and sleep in, something I never give myself the chance to do.

Today, I’m thankful for privacy. I’ve taken some big steps back from social media after having worked in social media marketing for several years. Although I feel disconnected in some ways, I feel overall less anxious than I was. More than that, I appreciate the privacy of my apartment. I love having an enclosed bedroom and the kitchen to myself. I love having these personal quiet moments to imagine and dream. I feel incredibly lucky to have this space to just be.
