He texted me to meet with him after coming back from Texas. I agreed, we drove to Sonic and sat inside. 

He looked a little frustrated, a little occupied in his mind. I asked him if he was okay and he said yeah. He has this specific smile, it lets me know he’s thinking of something in his mind, it’s almost crooked, hard to explain. I’ve known that smile for a long time now and I think it’s genuine and probably one of my best views of him. 

He laid his head on the table and said..

 "I can’t believe I’m gonna ask you this but tell me about your day"
He was kidding cause I always tell him what I did in my day and half the time its nonsense and I make him listen lol. 
I did so, showed him some pictures and stuff. There was something different in him, in the way he looked at me. I had been seeing him since the beginning of this year so it’s not like he hadn’t looked at me before or anything.

What he said next was something I waited for all year. 

"I was away in another state but you were on my mind constantly"

What i felt at that moment was magnificent. Like conquering something….in this case I thought it was a little late… I had lost the hope..
