Cyberpunk
Well, I’m starting to finally get a little burnout on Cyberpunk 2077. I have about 180 hours in it so far, over multiple playthroughs, and the setting is just so captivating and the characters so engaging that I can’t walk away from it.
Though I don’t make a lot of money, I have very few expenses so I can afford to maintain a pretty decent gaming computer – which I had just recently upgraded for this new generation of games – so I was, thankfully, spared many of the console or low-end system problems that others experienced. The game still has bugs and still has obviously cut content but for what it is – it’s fantastic. I’d call it my game of the year but it’s been a pretty thin year for good games.
I got into the game enough that I picked up the pdf of ‘Cyberpunk Red’ the tabletop rpg set in basically the same setting (2043 vs 2077) and have mixed feelings about the system, which often feels too basic and lacking depth in some areas.
I ordered the World Book and Game Guide books both because I love the setting but also because I figured they would help when I run a campaign.
