1/12/21 first day of spring semester

Hey there, just had my first day of the new spring semester. This is the first time I’ve had a class that required me to log in to go to class at a certain time since the beginning of the pandemic back at the end of freshman year. I have mixed feelings on everything, but I’m mostly feeling pretty good about life right now. I had a weird bout of existential fear last year for a couple of months, and I’ve increasingly been aware of just how mortal I am, but I’ve been living life to the fullest and making sure everyone knows just how much they mean to me when it counts. Life is really great. The state of politics is worrying and optimistic at the same time, and I’m excited for the progress we might be able to make despite all of this craziness(if you’re reading in the future, last week was the insurrection on the US capital). I love my girlfriend, and my friends! Everyone is back from winter break and it really does feel great. My only real discontent with life right now might be where I am at. I like Denton for the most part, but I would much rather be in a city like Philadelphia, DC, or NYC. Everything is great 🙂 Me and my friends have a trip planned to Honolulu for April, and we really hope that we can get vaccines before then, or we will have to push it back. I grew up really poor, so this will be my first time off of the continent, and that’s exciting! Cheers to a wonderful new decade!
