Bottle of Blues
I can’t be arsed to make this make sense. Probably won’t explain anything fully, and doubt if even I will be able to follow it.
Been staying at a friends (Sophie) house for four days (three nights). Her parents were away, at Butlins or something, with her younger brother and sister. Her older brother, Denis, was around. Rather then do the typical teenage house-wrecking party thing, we just moved in with her for the duration.
First day: Monday. Majority met up in town, lugged around massive bags full of junk we wouldn’t need but brought just in case, trekked back to Sophies house. Couple more people arrived. Had pizza, got drunk. Six of us, including Denis sat in the massive dog kennel smoking cigerettes and/or drinking Bricardi Breezers or beer. I hit Sophie round the back and then hit her over the head with a box of cheese sticks. Not one cheese straw remains intact. Slept on a really uncomfortable futon and have had back-ache ever since.
Second day: Tuesday. Everyone helps clean up Most people head home or into town. Sara, Gabi, Sophie and I stay at Sophies. I make lunch: little rolls with salmon and lettace. I name them "Salmon Salad Sandwiches" and proceed to try and repeat this with Gabi ten times very fast. Neither of us can manage it even once. We have to stay in for the TV repair men and do not know when they will arrive. We play monopoly for four hours. Gabi wins, having bankrupted the other three of us and gained possession of every single square. She simaltantiously has a text arguement with Lauren, who insulted Sophie after not being invited to our "little gathering". The TV men arrive late on in the game, stay only for ten minutes and are scared of the dog. It is too late to go into town, as it takes half an hour to walk there and it is already 4:30. We head towards the bus stop to pick up Josie and are informed of all the goings on in town. Josie makes macoroni cheese. Sara and Gabi make chocolate cake. That night, Sara, Denis and I watch Ghost World. Sophie and Josie make milkshakes and put on "milkshake voices" which disgruntles me further. I try to have a coversation with Sophie but she refuses to talk to me unless in her "milkshake voice", which is incomprihensible to me. Sleep on a comfier sofa.
Third day: Wednesday. In a bad mood. Tired and sort of anti-social. Periodically go through dizzy spells, like standing up too fast but when sitting down. Walk into town along a very long road. Half an hour later, pretty much walk back to where we came from, but along a different route, so a friend can pick up some money. Walk back into town along the long road again. Skipped lunch as only have 19p and no one will lend me any. Walk back to Sophies house along the long road. Have two coffees and a sit down. Walk the dog while Laura is cooking mexican. Eat, then walk into town for evening out. Largly uneventful as not drinking. Feel dizzy again and have a headache. Angry with everyone. Keep being ignored by everyone except Sara, who makes me feel a lot better just because she’s pissed and sweet when she’s been drinking. Take a few tokes on a very strong joint. Feel stoned for all of two seconds, but feel slightly calmer and less rejected afterwards. Walk back to Sophies along long road, which by this time I am feeling a tinge of contempt for. Want to go to bed early and just be quiet, but amount of drunk people around me makes this impossible. Upstairs is quiet, with Rach, Josie and me all wishing to be in silence. Sophie comes up and falls over and shouts and puts on loud music. Once she’s calmed down a bit, we all have a long talk about music. Go to sleep at around 2am.
Forth day: Thursday. Today. Wake up at 8am and lie on mattress for 20 minutes. Get dressed and have breakfast before anyone else as being picked up between 9 and 9:30. Don’t help tidy up as everyone else is in their pjs and/or still in bed. Leave at 9:30 and go home. Have a shower, straighten hair. Stab earring in ear repeatedly until realisation that earring is back to front. First sign of how tired I am. Comb hair and same earring gets caught in comb and is pulled out. Figure it might be safer without them in and take the other one out. Go to radio show for 11, to promote drama group and competition we’re holding. Goes suprisingly well, and don’t think I made too big a fool of myself. Finished by 11:30. Offered a lift home but stay in town as friends mentioned that they would be in town from 11. Look for them in most likely places after ringing three mobiles and not getting a reply once. Call Gabi, who hadn’t stayed round the previous night, and she says that they called her and said they’d be leaving for town at 1-ish. Start to walk home but stop to try Sophies home phone. She pointedly tells me how they have stayed in to tidy up as though it is my fault I’m not also helping, says they’re having lunch at hers then going to town for 2-3 and that she will call me when they’re in town. I walk home and almost cry as I explain to my mum how "off" everyone has been with me over the past few days and how at times they’ve completely ignored me.
Ergh, so thats pretty much it.
